About Hit Me SEO
Tim Marose – President & Owner
Tim started Hit Me SEO in May of 2010 after several years in the mortgage industry. During his 11 years of lending, he always had a passion and drive for the marketing and advertising side of loan origination. To Tim, it wasn’t so much about closing the next loan, it was about finding that next client to close the next loan.
The process of generating new business became more important than the actual funding of the loans, and at that time, Tim knew he needed to take his passion to the next level. Tim was introduced to Todd McCally, an online marketing veteran who was working in the online marketing world before Google was launched. After an initial meeting, Tim knew that he wanted to be involved with online marketing, and saw the tremendous opportunity that was in front of him.
Tim has helped Hit Me SEO grow steadily over the last several years, and loves to know what is going on “behind the scenes” of each website online. Reviewing the on-page setup of websites, to reviewing backlinks and social medial profiles, is what Tim does most days, looking for that tiny advantage for each and every client.
Tim lives in Gaithersburg, Maryland with his wife Cathleen and two children. His home, office, and favorite golf course are within a one mile radius, and if he is not in the office, chances are he is on the golf course.
Zach Taylor – Designer and Developer
Zach joined Hit Me SEO in February of 2013 after a stint doing print design at an advertising agency in Towson, Maryland. While working for the Ad Agency he spent much of his free time learning everything he could about web design and development. After being given a few web-related client projects at the Agency his interest in the web was solidified. He is drawn to the combination of creative problem solving and technical knowledge required to design and build websites.
Since joining Hit Me SEO Zach has developed an affinity for “data-driven design”, using web statistics to inform his design and development decisions aimed at improving our client’s conversion rates.
When not at work you can find him cooking, golfing, or exploring the outdoors.
Ben Douthwaite – Project Manager
Ben started at Hit Me SEO in May of 2013, shortly after receiving a degree from St. John’s College. With a major in philosophy Ben has spent years learning how to talk to people and figure out what they want. Upon joining Hit Me SEO Ben started doing what he does best, talking to people. If you have a problem, it comes to him first.
When not answering emails and working on websites Ben is going to Crossfit, cooking, and relaxing with friends.
Jordan McElwain – Internet Marketing Strategist
Jordan started working at Hit Me SEO in May of 2014 right after she graduated from the University of Virginia. With a major in Psychology and minor in Global Culture and Commerce, Jordan focuses mainly on consumer behavior and marketing strategy. So far Jordan has clearly displayed her ability to manage a variety of social media accounts and engage followers. As she continues to work at hit Me SEO, she will take on more responsibilities and help the company expand its skill set.
When Jordan is not at work developing social media presence for our clients, you can find her learning how to Samba, traveling, or enjoying the outdoors with her friends and family.
Nick Kneuper – Pay Per Click Manager
Nick joined Hit Me SEO in October of 2012, after a two year run managing a SEO software company. After the great Google Panda / Penguin update in early 2012, Nick also started doing freelance work for clients. He met Tim through a mutual client and was given the opportunity to manage Pay Per Click full-time.
Nick loves to find new and innovative ways to setup Pay Per Click campaigns for clients. Finding the highest ROI for each client is a personal goal with each campaign, and believes the smallest details can produce the greatest positive results.
He believes each client is unique and so each PPC campaign should mimic that, whether it means Geo-Targeting nearby cities to generate more leads or running video remarketing campaigns on Youtube to increase brand legitimacy.
When Nick isn’t working at Hit Me SEO, he’s working on growing his clothing company.
